"I Know What My Community Needs. I Was Born Here."
With North Dakota facing a workforce shortage due to low unemployment, and bureaucratic red tape creating endless friction, Grand Forks needed a centralized hub. Everyone else had enough time to build it. So, Jeremy decided to just do it himself. People just need something that is exactly what it says it is: free, easy to access and navigate, and helps them find what they need.
Our Mission & Vision
Grand Forks Community Hub was born out of a simple but powerful realization: there needed to be a centralized, free, and easy-to-access location for community resources in the Greater Grand Forks region.
As a marketing and outreach coordinator at Community Options in Grand Forks, our founder, Jeremy Pagel, saw firsthand the challenges individuals and families face when trying to navigate local assistance programs.
The Hub was built on the core philosophy of "people over profit, always."
A Legacy of Care
This commitment to the community runs deep in Jeremy's family. His grandfather, Dr. Donald Barcome Sr., was the first physiatrist in the state of North Dakota and designed the first physical rehabilitation center in the state.
Dr. Barcome was known for fiercely defending his patientsโeven going to court to fight for them when Medicaid or Medicare claims were unjustly denied by insurance companies. That same fighting spirit for the community's well-being drives the Grand Forks Community Hub today.
Digital Innovation
Jeremy is a loving husband and father who lives right here in Grand Forks, ND. With over 15 years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, website design, and automation, he serves as the digital systems architect behind this platform.
He is also the architect for Revenue Recovery System LLC., a 100% woman-owned business operated by his wife, Jayden, who is also the mother to his firstborn child.
The business is registered locally in Grand Forks. His extensive portfolio includes:
Healthcare & AI Innovation
AI innovation and rural access to healthcare virtually is extremely close to Jeremy's heart.
He has consulted on UI/UX design for QuickBlox, helping expand telehealth, teletherapy, and telemedicine access to rural areas in North Dakota and the larger Midwest.
Driven by this passion, Jeremy owns hipaacompliancechecker.com and will be launching this tool soon. The platform allows healthcare practices to input their information to identify any potential leaks of Protected Health Information (PHI) and shows the total potential fines associated with those leaks.
His expertise has led to being featured on two notable podcasts: one for Penji discussing ethical AI implementation and HIPAA compliance in healthcare, and another with Jeff Carlton on "Navigating to Success" focusing on ethical AI implementation, AI innovation, and AI education.
Leadership & Global Impact
As an innovator and market disruptor, Jeremy was voted Alignable.com's "Business Person of the Year Grand Forks" for two consecutive years (2024/2025) and received the CXO "Business Leadership Excellence" award in 2024. He has also been featured in the report for Charles Gaudet II's "Predictable Profits."
Jeremy has been invited to lecture for the marketing club at the University of North Dakota, and was asked by the VOBC to speak at the Grand Forks Air Force Base to exiting military personnel for "Boots to Business." There, he lectured on monetizing startups, streamlining operations, SEO, and AI's role in operating a frictionless business.
Jeremy holds a B.A. from Western State Colorado University in Political Science with a double minor in sociology and philosophy. He has managed volunteer and paid canvassing offices for gubernatorial and presidential campaigns in Colorado, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
His global experience includes traveling for a private boarding school to Kazakhstan (Almaty and Nur-Sultan) for recruitment fairs, and spending time in Germany (Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne). He served as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Marketing, producing comprehensive marketing materials, managing social media channels, designing videos, and working with videographers to create international commercial videos.
